Hugo & Co started with Hugo - my energetic Labrador who taught me more about pet care than I ever expected.

Hugo was a real challenge when he was younger. He had endless energy, pulled on the lead and needed a lot of exercise and stimulation. We went through a couple of dog walkers and sitters because finding someone who could accommodate his needs wasn't easy.

​

I worked incredibly hard with Hugo, and through patience, consistency and training, we overcame many of the challenges we faced together.

​

That experience opened my eyes to how difficult it can be for owners to find pet care that genuinely works for their individual animal.

​

That's where Hugo & Co began.

​

I wanted to create the kind of service I had struggled to find myself - one where pets aren't expected to fit into a standard routine, and where their individual personality and needs actually matter.

I've also always owned cats, and today I have Spider, my five-year-old black cat and very much my soul cat. 

​

Living with cats throughout my life has given me a real appreciation for how different their personalities can be too. Some want endless attention, some prefer their own space, and some are perfectly happy ruling the house from a distance. 

​

Whether I'm caring for a dog or a cat, my approach is always the same: get to know the animal in front of me and give them care that works for them.
